I'm Narges and I'm running to be on the Eden Healthcare District Board (Area 3) because I see everyday how the lives of our community members are impacted by lack of access to responsive healthcare. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the Executive Director of Crisis Support Services of Alameda County, I know that our health and wellbeing is integral to the ability to have a community where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.
As a resident of Castro Valley for over a decade, I understand the unique needs of our neighborhoods.
In my professional role, overseeing a $12 million budget, over 130 staff, and vital programs like 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, I have the experience needed to manage public district funds and evaluate programs.
A leader in crisis care
Addressing our community’s mental health and crisis care needs requires proven leadership. Serving as President across regional and statewide healthcare organizations reflects the confidence my peers have placed in me to lead when the stakes are highest. Through these roles, I have brought together diverse coalitions to strengthen safety nets, expand community health worker pipelines, and pioneer responsive suicide prevention strategies across Alameda County and the state.

Represent 988 organizations from around the state advocating for all Californians to have access to the support they need.
President, Behavioral Health Collaborative of Alameda County (2024–2026)
Lead collaborations between local healthcare stakeholders to bridge critical gaps in community mental health systems.
Board President, Bridge Rail Foundation (2024–Present)
Advocating for evidence-based suicide prevention infrastructure and advising on suicide prevention policies and practices.
President, California Community Colleges Community Health Worker Committee (2024–Present)
Creating career pipeline programs in partnership with community colleges to expand opportunities to join the healthcare workforce.
